Lucas' SEGA GITS Collection Figure Vol.1 Gallery

This gallery is dedicated to Chris. Wouldn't be possible without your help buddy ^_~;

SEGA Prize Ghost In The Shell Collection Figure Vol.1
Featuring:
Motoko Kusanagi in Uniform / "Robot Rondo" Caddie-bot / "Megatech Mahine 2" Cyborg Nurse

Typical Sega Prize GITS, these posable figures are finely detailed and well made. Goes well with Vol.3 because of the size and display stand. Seems to be a continuation as Vol.2 deviates to SAC. I particularly like the Trichopython / Claviceps model robot (refer Dark Horse's GITS TPB, Chapter 06: Robot Rondo to see the model in Shirow-manga form ^_^) Personally I think Sega Prize should have swapped one of the others with the Tomliand model robot so that at least I could re-enact a classic Robot Rondo scene on my local golf course :P

Stand Back!
I'm afraid you have picked the wrong target, Ms Robot...

Polls Closure

Well, its many many months due (sorry) and at the time it seemed a pretty good idea. But I've decided that I can't keep up with this. So, the first MSHP polls is also going to be the last until further announcements. Sorry again folks, but here's the long awaited poll results :P

MSHP Polls Results

So here's how the vote went:

Which Shirow series does this Symbol come from?

Appleseed: 13% (23 votes)
Ghost In The Shell: 4% (7 votes)
Ghost In The Shell SAC: 25% (44 votes)
Dominion Conflict: 9% (16 votes)
Orion: 34% (60 votes)
Black Magic: 16% (28 votes)

Total: 178 votes

The correct answer is: Dominion Conflict
This logo/symbol belongs to the Nankaiden Shopping Mall, bitter sales rival of Hokutenro Mall which was the unfortunate victim of Urushi-Maru's stink bomb. It can be found on the 1st page of your Dominion Conflict manga, the one where Leona wolfed down her ramen ^_^;;

It's Nankaiden!

OK~ So now this is done, let's move on... ^_^;;

GITS 1.5 Human Error Processor by Dark Horse in Spring '06

At this year's San Diego Comic Con, Dark Horse Comics announced their upcoming manga titles, among them:

Ghost in the Shell 1.5: Human-Error Processor— A limited comics series from manga legend Shirow Masamune. Human-Error Processor is a series of stories originally serialized as part of Ghost in the Shell 2 but not included by Shirow in the Ghost in the Shell 2: Man-Machine Interface collection. The stories are Fat Cat from 1991, Drive Slave from 1992, Mines of Mind from 1995, and Lost Past from 1996. This series will be presented in non-Westerized format (reading right to left), as originally published, in black-and-white with color. Arriving spring 2006.

GITS 1.5 Human Error Processor
Cover for the CD-Rom + Book Japanese Version GITS 1.5 HEP by Kodansha

Interestingly, this was mentioned as a Comic, not the e-manga CD-Rom+Book format released by Kodansha in 2003. Will be watching out for any further news on this. Thanks to Dragon ^_^ Mark this in your 2006 diary folks!

:::: Updated 22nd July 2005 ::::

Here's a comment from Chris Warner, Dark Horse editor for Ghost In The Shell with more details on the plans for GITS Human-Error Processor:

Hi, this is Chris Warner, Dark Horse editor for Ghost in the Shell. Human-Error Processor is planned as a serialized comic, eight issues, non-Westernized beginning next spring (probably April) and then will be collected (likely early 2007) including the CD (which will be left untranslated) packaged with the Kodansha collection. I know that some would rather we go straight to collection, but the time required to do the translation correctly--Fred Schodt will again translate, at Mr. Shirow's request--lends itself to serialization rather than going directly to collection.

Thanks Chris! The information is much appreciated! ^_^

Cool Girl, Can we take a photo? ^_^

Reference post on Takara's 12" Motoko Kusanagi in CG

Looking good ne? ^_^

Image was taken from Japan online toyshop Noda-ya.com :) Ya, the figure release has been pushed back to August 05, so Pre-order if you haven't done so! A bit pricey but I guess there's nothing that a hardcore Shirow fan can't handle ne? (what an irresponsible statement! :P) Oh, and TQ Akros-san ^_^b

Lucas' SEGA GITS Extra Figure Vol.1 Gallery

Once in a while, you come across a collectible that impresses you so much that you just completely, hopelessly adore it at first sight. SEGA Prize's Ghost In The Shell Extra Figure Vol.1 (Released May 05, 2700 Yen / set of 2) is such a figure for me. Even before I removed them from the boxes, I am already won over- many times over. This is a set of 2 versions: Normal Version and a "Semi-Transparent" Version Motoko Kusanagi (2nd Gig), the latter intended to give the "camouflage" disappearing effect that by now is almost a trademark of GITS / Major Kusanagi. Standing proud at 22cm each, this figure really does justice to the sexy, strong and cool image of Major Motoko Kusanagi. ^_^ I enjoyed taking shots of this set very much so hope you all enjoy them too ^_^

Motoko Kusanagi Extra Figure!

sTwo's Galgrease Artbook Scoop!!

Shirowledge faithfulls should have read the ( good / bad / strange ) news by now: Our resident Shirow fan in Japan (sTwo-san that is) has called in publisher Kodansha personally and managed to get the latest updates on what's going on with this much anticipated art collection.

In summary, we are expecting 8 volumes of Galgrease Artbooks, 1st issue due in November 2005 and the rest to follow in a somewhat irregular 2-month (some many more months interval) release pattern. This will continue until Book #8 in September 2007. Another thing worth mentioning is the "Streaming Artbook" concept, where sTwo reported that Galgrease artbooks will be presented in story form instead of your usual stand alone illustrations collection.

Visit sTwo's Shirowledge for a more detailed, first-hand report ^_^b

Don't touch my XXXXX please~
^_^;;

Nice scoop sTwo buddy! :) Thanks for the news! Alot of Shirow fans will sleep better (I hope) with this latest update. But as usual, nothing is definite in the world of Shirow, so treat this as a tentative schedule. My greatest hope is that Shirow can follow through this project right to the end of Book #8.

p/s: That's alot of naughty pictures to come from Shirow Sensei... :P

Tentative Release Schedule:
GALGREASE 1st Artbook: Nov, 2005
GALGREASE 2nd Artbook: Jan, 2006
GALGREASE 3rd Artbook: Mar, 2006
GALGREASE 4th Artbook: Sep, 2006
GALGREASE 5th Artbook: Nov, 2006
GALGREASE 6th Artbook: Jan, 2007
GALGREASE 7th Artbook: Jul, 2007
GALGREASE 8th Artbook: Sep, 2007

Sony PSP GITS Stand Alone Complex 「Hunter's Zone」

Tachikoma... Open that damned door!

The Official Sony Playstation Website for the PSP's GITS SAC "Hunter's Zone" Game is now online! The site is Japanese, but the menu is English, so you can see some screenies & graphics there. Not bad, I think. Would be even better if I had a PSP! :P (Thanks again, Akros!)
