About me

User: bis2501
Name: Lucas...
is a hyper-advanced cyborg- his body consists of all of his active drives; his memory of all of his active sources. These are all variable, but on a periodic basis his bio components crave energy and sleep and remind him of his basic identity-layer (yes, I crave sleeping)...

Lucas' SEGA GITS Mini Display Figure Vol.1 & 2 Gallery

This is a double gallery- featuring Vol.1 & Vol.2 of SEGA Prize's Ghost In The Shell Mini Display Figures Series. These little cuties have a special place in my collection as they are the reason why I decided to attempt a complete collection of the Sega GITS figure sets. Previously I collect mainly published works by Shirow Sensei but seeing these Mini Display Figures, it is GET at first sight! ^_^

Group Shot: Vol1 & Vol.2
A big happy family of Mini Display Figures! ^_^

Sega Prize Ghost In The Shell Mini Display Figure Vol.1
xx 2004 (sorry I need to research the release date >_<)

Mini Display Figure Vol.1
GITS Mini Display Figure Vol.1 Group Shot (Battery included for scale! ^_^)

Clickable Thumbs!

The totally adorable Tachikoma! ^_^

The rest of the crew: Motoko, Batou & Motoko in Tachi Cockpit ^_^

The Motoko in Cockpit is not without purpose... ^_^
Tachikoma's Mistress
Interchangeable pods on the Mini Tachikoma, its really nice! ^_^

Sega Prize Ghost In The Shell Mini Display Figure Vol.2
January 2005

Mini Display Figure Vol.2
GITS Mini Display Figure Vol.2 Group Shot (Battery included for scale! ^_^)

Clickable Thumbs!

The Complete Set - Motoko in Uniform (sorry, out of focus shot >_<), Motoko in Cockpit Ver2 & Batou on a Tachi ^_^

The Tachikoma was not featured in the set photos above as it is an exact replica of Vol.1. How to distinguish one series from another? You gotta flip them Tachi's and look at the year manufactured printed on the base: 2004 is Vol.1 & 2005 is Vol.2 ^_^

Tachi vs Tachi

There are people who collect Mini Display Tachikomas exclusively, to re-create the Tachikoma Forum as seen in the anime ^_^ It is real cool, but no doubt costly to assemble about 6 to 9 Tachikomas because it is rare to find single Tachi's for sale, most of the time they are sold in sets. But its a cool concept nevertheless. I have 2... ^_^;;;

Again, the interchangeable Tachikoma pod! The pods fits both sets:
Vol.2 Version Tachikoma Mistress

To summarize: Cute, special and totally adorable. The Sega Prize GITS Mini Display Figures, although small are among my most precious Shirow collections. Totally detailed, it is a sight to behold when you assemble these small armies of Tachikomas, Motokos and Batous together. Personally I do hope Sega continue with this Mini Display Series- hopefully with the full cast of Section 9 in future. Now that would be something! ^_^

Only in Batou's Dreams! ^_^

Yeah, there's something really wrong about that last one. :p

Did you take these yourself? If so, what kind of background is that?

So, Batou on a tachikoma...can that one be attached to an actual tachikoma? Then you could stick all three together. :)

Ya, the Gallery Collection photos (those tagged with mshp) are all taken by myself ^_^ Background... errr... basically coloured paper ^_^;; This background's the same as my Vol.2 Collection Figure shots- they are taken at the same time.

Gillsing, Batou is "Stand Alone" i.e. detachable from the Tachikoma "shell" and can sit anywhere that fits his posture ^_^. So basically, he can sit on top of the actual Tachikoma with Motoko. But he cant fit in Motoko's Tachi cockpit though... :P
